The Controls/Project Engineer is responsible for the design and specification of the electrical and control systems on Pro Mach projects and initiatives.
This position will provide electrical engineering support for one of our largest customers in the Iowa City, IA area.
In this role you will.
Create full design packages including BOM, cable schedules and layouts;Check & validate all final design documentation, parts lists and drawings according to design & contract requirements, to ensure completeness & accuracyReview and interpret customer and vendor drawings and specificationsDesign or coordinate the design of wiring schematics and power distributionWrite or Modify PLC and HMI codeTroubleshoot electrical and software automation issuesProvide construction and power up supportPrepare contractor and scope of work instructionsPrepares electrical layout and detailed drawings and schematicsInterpret technical specifications & application parametersParticipate in necessary project and product meetingsWho we're looking for?5
years of Electrical Engineering experienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentExperience with production line design and working with end users in a consulting capacityExperience with power distribution (480-600V).
Experience with communications networksPLC programming experience in Allen Bradley is required.
Experience in Siemens PLCs is an assetExperience with industrial robots is an assetExperience with Factory Talk Studio and/or Wonderware would be preferredServo system design and programming experience would be preferredSolid AutoCAD skills requiredGood knowledge of North American electrical standards for equipment manufacturingWhat's in it for you?There's no monopoly on good ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
