We are seeking a Human Resource Generalist II for our location near the Quad Cities.

Responsibilities:
1. HR Policies/Procedures: Administer human resources plans and procedures for all location personnel; assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
2. Communications: Coordinate employee communication to promote employee understanding of programs, policies, and objectives.
3. Employee Relations: Counsel supervisory personnel on employee relation matters, including employee discipline, and resolution of employee grievances.
4. Recruitment & Selection: Conduct recruitment effort for open positions and support hiring managers in the selection process (from cultural fit, competency, behavior standpoints).
5. Compensation: Ensure uniform interpretation and application of wage and salary policy to provide internally equitable employee compensation; helps maintain job descriptions and evaluations on an accurate and current basis. Communicate total compensation opportunity to employees and respond to employee questions related to applicable Compensation plans and programs.
6. Training and development: Assist in identifying training needs and work with corporate training team to implement programs. Facilitates training sessions locally when applicable.
7. Engagement: Organize employee engagement activities.

9. Performance Management: Coordinate performance reviews and performance improvement processes for all employees; ensure consistent application of corporate policies and procedures.
10. Career & Succession: Coordinate C&S cycles, local people development committees, 360 degree feedback surveys and competency assessments; ensure consistent application of corporate policies and procedures.
11. Personnel Planning.
12. Record Keeping: Establish and maintain adequate personnel records for past and present employees.
13. Goal Setting: Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Assist in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
14. Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
15. If applicable, support HR Manager with labor relations in unionized facilities.
16. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
2. Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration.
3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION:
1. Undergraduate degree required in human resources, business administration, or related field.
2. 5-7 years experience - will also look at a entry level / recent grads with strong internships
3. PHR/SPHR preferred.
